Bernie has more than 35 years successful experience in international business development, sales and marketing. Prior to moving to Israel in 1997, Mr. Wolff was an Executive Vice President Sales & Marketing, within Philips Consumer Electronics. During his 20-year tenure with Philips, he was a member of the ex-patriate Philips International Group, and held senior management positions in the UK, Sweden, Netherlands, Canada, Hong Kong and USA.
During the periods 1982-1997, as a member of the International Group, he was responsible for establishing new ventures for Philips in major markets around the world as well as for introduction of new product lines into the local market. His duties included the construction of business plans and marketing strategies, formulation of strategic third party and OEM relationships, infrastructure building, and major account contract negotiation and execution.
Bernie moved to Israel in 1997, and immediately established a consulting business to assist start-up companies in acquiring seed capital as well as advising on international business development. He was invited by one of his client companies, YCD Multimedia Ltd, to become Senior VP Business
Development, a position he held for almost 10 years. In this role, he was instrumental in attracting substantial funding for the company, as well as developing an international distribution network of resellers and key business partners in more than 20 countries.
Upon retiring from YCD in 2012, he founded Cerato Global Consulting to provide innovative start-ups with industry disruptive technology and solutions with a direct link to relevant investors and global markets. Leveraging Cerato’s extensive database of international contacts enables young companies to attract funding and build distribution partnerships with Fortune 500 companies worldwide.
Mr. Wolff is a graduate of Durham University, and trained as a Chartered Accountant.
